Trabajo desde la impotencia y el torrente de malestares causados por la respuesta tardía e inacción frente a violaciones de derechos humanos y al cúmulo de sucesos que deterioran el bienestar multi-especie. Experimento con sensores electrónicos, prácticas sonoras, reciclaje de materiales, investigación de archivo y medios escultóricos. Actualmente estoy interesado en la fusión de la escultura con el sonido donde investigo y realizo interfaces para facilitar acercamientos lúdicos y kinestésicos, estos elementos articulan mi producción junto con instalaciones e intervenciones en espacio público.
Cuento con un diplomado en arte sonoro por el Centro Cultural Border. Talleres en la Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado (ENPEG). Constancias en intervenciones urbanas y performáticas, música electromagnética e imagen en movimiento entre otras. Estudios en arte, diseño y experiencias visuales por la Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Italia y licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación en la Ciudad de México.
Apoyado por el Sistema de Apoyos a la Creación y Proyectos Culturales (SACPC) 2023, Prince Claus Fund 2021, Programa de Apoyo a la Producción e Investigación en Arte, Medios y Discapacidad (PAPIAM-D) 2021, Programa Arte, Ciencia y Tecnologías (ACT) por el Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes y la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México 2018-2019. Recibí el premio de adquisición de obra en la séptima Bienal Internacional de Arte Visual Universitario 2018. Ganador del primer lugar en el festival Transitio 2017. He presentado mi trabajo en México, Chile, Colombia, Países Bajos, España y Bélgica.

Adrián Aroko works from the impotence and the torrent of discomforts caused by the late response and inaction in the face of human rights violations and the accumulation of events that deteriorate multi-species well-being. He experiments with electronic sensors, sound practices, material recycling, archival research and sculptural media. He is currently interested in the fusion of sculpture with sound where he researches and creates interfaces to facilitate playful and kinesthetic approaches. These elements articulate his production along with installations and interventions in public spaces.
He holds a diploma in sound art from the Border Cultural Center, workshops at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving (ENPEG), certificates in urban and performative interventions, electromagnetic music and moving image among others. Studies in art, design and visual experiences from the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Italy and a degree in Communication Sciences in Mexico City.
Support and grants received from Support System for Creation and Cultural Projects (SACPC) 2023, Prince Claus Fund 2021, Program to Support Production and Research in Art, Media and Disability (PAPIAM-D) 2021, Art, Science and Technology Program (ACT) by the National Fund for Culture and the Arts and the National Autonomous University of Mexico 2018. He received the acquisition prize at the seventh International Biennial of University Visual Art 2018. First place winner at Transitio festival 2017. He has presented his work in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Netherlands, Spain and Belgium.
